Sarah's 4 month checkup

Today Sarah had her 4 month checkup and shots. (technically 4 mos. on the 18th) She cried but only for a few minutes. Katelyn couldn't watch Sarah getting poked with needles so she had her face tucked into Kris' neck.
Sarah is 26.5 inches long and 16.5 lbs. Since nursing is going so good, we don't need to introduce solids until she is 6 months old.

We love you Monkey!!

Ugly Purse Shopping Day 2011

A few years ago, Brenda and I started a tradition called Ugly Purse Shopping Day. We both look for the ugliest purse we can find and then we exchange them. Saturday was our shopping day. I found Brenda this bright teal purse and she found me the BIGGEST and CLEAREST plastic bag I have ever seen.
We went and tried on sunglasses, scarfs and hats. Then we went and tried on the sexiest heels (Brenda has those pics). I was a mission for some sandels so of course we ended up trying on these "fabulous" sandels. Our day was full of laughs and memories. I love you Brenda.

We had a blast. I can't wait to for UPSD 2012. I saw a few purses while we were shopping that made me thinik of Brenda. One was FURbulous. ha ha.

Helping out Grandma

On Thursday, Kris, Katelyn and I went to his grandma's house and did some outside work for her. Kris did the yard and washed her windows. With Katelyn's help, I painted her small deck.

Hangin' with the Hall kids

Every Wednesday Katelyn, Sarah and I meet up with Brenda and her kids Tate and Kennedi. Today we met up with them at Bradley Park in Puyallup. Before we stopped to eat our picnic lunch, we strolled around the lake. Tate and Kennedi were on their bikes, Katelyn was on her scooter, Sarah in her stroller and Brenda and I were on foot.

During our stroll, we came across this bee like creature digging
in the dirt.



Then we stopped to take pictures in this huge tree. Brenda and I are trying
not to fall.





Then we stopped to have a picnic lunch. Such a relaxing and fun get together.

Tie Dye Craft

On Wed, Katelyn and I went to JoAnn's and bought a Tie Dye kit. We were wanting to do tank tops but they were sold out in our sizes. So we decided to buy tote bags instead. We had a blast. Check out the pictures:

Playdate with the Hall kids

Today Katelyn and I met Brenda, Tate and Kennedi at Ikea for a playdate. More like the kids played while Brenda and I shopped. Ikea has this playroom that you drop your kids off at and it's free. After an hour, Brenda and I claimed our kids and then we grabbed a bite to eat at the Ikea food court. We have managed to get together at least once a week since schools been out.

Fun at the bouncy place

On Monday we went to the bouncy place in the Super Mall to get out of the house. We had met the Halls there a few weeks ago and the kids were totally worn out. Katelyn was wanting to go home after an hour. Kris and I took our books to read and I had put Sarah in the stroller so she could kid watch. Soon Sarah will be running around with her big sis.

Katelyn's last swim lesson

On Friday, Katelyn had her last swim lesson. She has progressed alot since the first day. She can swim down to bottom of the pool in the 10ft. (With the help of swim fins.) Because of soccer and school starting soon she won't be doing any swimming until next summer.

Trip to Great Wolf Lodge

Since Kris was laid off in May and we couln't afford to do any big trips this year, we decided to go to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound Wa. We went Sunday the 7th and Monday the 8th. We had a blast.

It's so tiring being in a new place. So much to see and do.



We had an even better time because Mom Hefner was able to come.

Sarah rolling over

Sarah has been rolling over alot the last 2 days. These are the first pics of Sarah on her stomach because as soon as I go grab the camera, she rolls back over. These are my favorite pictures of our girls.

Katelyn's Dentist Appt.



 



  Back in Oct, Katelyn had a tooth pulled in the back but the new tooth hasn't come in yet. So she had to have 2 baby teeth pulled to make room for her new adult teeth and because of that, she now has a few holes in her mouth. Kris went back with her and said she did real good. For those of you who know me, I'm not a fan of pulling out teeth.

Sarah's growth

Sarah has changed so much since she was born. She's touching her toes and rolling over (back to stomach and only a few times). Sarah is a pretty content baby but when she's not happy she will let you know!!

Katelyn's Swimming Lesson

It is day 2 of Katelyn's level 2 swimming. She is doing really good on the crawl stroke. There is another girl in her class that Katelyn has become swim friends with. It is really cool seeing her jump in the 4ft deep end and not be afraid.
